Over the past several weeks, MDF advocates asked their Representatives to sign the Kiggans Moskowitz Letter urging the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee to include $10m for peer-reviewed myotonic dystrophy research funding as part of the CDMRP.

With degrees from Shiraz University a PhD from the University of Waterloo, Dr. Tahereh Kamali has a strong background in computer science and systems design engineering. Since joining Stanford's Department of Neurology, she has focused on exploring the effects of myotonic dystrophy on the central nervous system.
