2018 MDF Annual Conference Lodging and Transportation


The 2018 MDF Annual Conference takes place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, which is located just 10 minutes from the Nashville airport, and 20 minutes from downtown Nashville. The hotel offers comprehensive services for guests. More hotel information is available here.

MDF has secured a room block for 2018 MDF Annual Conference attendees at significantly reduced room rates. Visit the hotel room block website or call 877-491-7397 and mention the MDF Annual Conference to book a room. Registering for the conference does not reserve your hotel room, and spaces at the hotel are expected to fill up quickly. We recommend that you reserve your room soon if you would like to stay at the Gaylord Opryland.

2018 MDF Annual Conference attendees will arrive in Nashville at the Nashville international Airport (BNA). Visitors seeking shuttle service and transportation to the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center have a variety of options, including taxi service, airport shuttles, ride-sharing apps, and public transportation.

Hotel Airport Shuttle Service

The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel can be scheduled in advance and costs $9 one-way for MDF Annual Conference attendees. Please make sure to contact the hotel beforehand if you need wheelchair accessible transportation.The shuttle takes you from the airport directly to the Gaylord Opryland. The service runs seven days a week at the top and bottom of the hour from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. To find the shuttle, go one level below baggage claim and out the double doors to the left. From there, look for the Gaylord Opryland large 56 passenger tour bus, which will take you to the hotel.


All Nashville Taxis operate with a $25 flat rate to the Opryland Hotel area, as well as the downtown area, with a $1 extra charge for each additional passenger. Cab companies and their phone numbers can be found on the Nashville Airport website.

American Music City Cab has vans that are wheelchair-accessible. Call them in advance to book one: 615-865-4100. Checker Cab offers accessible vans as well -- make sure to call them 1 hour in advance to check availability: 615-256-7000. Allied Cab offers accessible taxis that can be reserved at any time: 615-333-3333

Ride-sharing Apps

The cost for a private ride from the Nashville Airport to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel using ride-sharing apps such as Uber or Lyft will range from $18.00 to $25.00. When you order your Uber/Lyft, proceed to the Ground Transportation level of the airport. Go outside, cross the street, turn right, and meet your driver at the rideshare signs.

Directions from Airport to Hotel

If you decide to rent a car, the directions to the hotel are as follows: Travel south on Terminal Drive toward BNA Arriving Flights. After 0.7 mile make a slight right followed by a slight left to stay on Terminal Drive. Travel 0.6 mile and take the ramp onto Interstate 40 West. Travel 1.2 miles to exit 215B and merge onto TN-155 North/Briley Parkway. Travel 4.3 miles to exit 11 for Opry Mills Drive. Continue straight ahead for 0.9 mile to Opryland Drive and turn right. Travel 0.4 mile and turn left to the hotel.

Childcare is not provided at the conference. Please make all necessary arrangements before you arrive so that you can take advantage of all that the conference has to offer.
