Call for Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications
The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) is pleased to announce the 4th annual program to support innovative research on myotonic dystrophy. On January 1, 2012, the MDF will award up to three postdoctoral research fellowships, each providing two years of support at $50,000 per fellowship, per year.
One of the goals of the MDF is to stimulate research that is closely aligned with its core mission: to lead and mobilize resources toward effective management, treatment and a cure for myotonic dystrophy through education, advocacy, and research.
The MDF announces the solicitation for fellowship applications and will consider proposals for clinical, basic or applied research in any of the following areas:
- Pathogenesis of myotonic dystrophy
- Studies of disease progression that are necessary steps toward therapeutic trials
- Best practices and clinical management of myotonic dystrophy
- Therapeutic and diagnostic development
Applicants must have received a PhD, MD, or DO degree from an accredited domestic or foreign institution. We are excited to expand this year's program to include applicants from around the globe.
