Call for Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications

The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) is pleased to announce the 3rd annual program to support innovative research on myotonic dystrophy. On January 1, 2011, the MDF will award two postdoctoral research fellowships, each providing two years of support at $50,000 per fellowship, per year.

The MDF announces the solicitation for fellowship applications and will consider proposals for clinical, basic or applied research in any of the following areas:

  • Pathogenesis of myotonic dystrophy
  • Studies of disease progression that are necessary steps toward therapeutic trials
  • Best practices and clinical management of myotonic dystrophy
  • Therapeutic and diagnostic development

Applicants must have received a PhD, MD, or DO degree from an accredited domestic or foreign institution.  Research supported by this award must be carried out in the United States. U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or foreign nationals with appropriate visa are eligible for these awards.
