MDF invites you to attend the 2027 MDF Conference, sometimes called the “DM family reunion,” at the Hyatt Regency Seattle in Seattle, Washington.
This year’s program includes educational sessions exploring research, drug development, symptom management, and other critical topics for DM families, plus opportunities for formal and informal networking, wellness, and fun.
Community members are invited to join us for a welcome reception on Thursday evening, April 29. Community sessions will be held on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, followed by optional workshops for community members on Sunday morning, May 2.

Registration
The 2027 MDF Conference includes a Community Track and a Professional Track.
Community Track: Designed for people living with DM, caregivers, family members, and other members of the DM community.
Professional Track: Designed for clinicians, researchers, students, industry representatives, and other DM professionals.
Both tracks offer in-person and virtual registration options. Please note that not all sessions will be recorded or available to virtual attendees.
Conference Venue
The DM community deserves a conference experience that is accessible, comfortable, and easy to navigate. After significant research, community feedback, and in-person site visits, MDF is excited to host the 2027 MDF International Conference at the Hyatt Regency Seattle.

MDF prioritized a venue with features that will help make the conference more accessible, comfortable, and welcoming for the DM community:

2027 Conference Program
Back by popular demand, our 2027 program will feature a Wellness Room, Movement Moments, Fireside Chats, Workshops, Networking Buddies, and Friday night entertainment.
What are Networking Buddies?
This program pairs DM professionals with people living with DM, caregivers, and family members to help build meaningful connections between the lived experience of DM and the work of DM professionals.

Financial Assistance
MDF is pleased to offer financial assistance to community members who may need help with conference-related costs. Support may be available for conference registration, hotel accommodations, travel expenses, or a combination of these options, based on individual need and available funding.

Hotel Room Block
MDF has secured a special discounted rate at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. Located in the heart of downtown, the hotel is close to restaurants, shopping, and many of Seattle’s best-known attractions, including the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle!
Discounted rooms for conference attendees start at $209 a night. Rooms are limited and not guaranteed until hotel confirms your reservation. Rooms must be booked before 3pm on April 7th!

Transportation
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), approximately 14 miles from the Hyatt Regency Seattle.
Travelers can reach the Hyatt Regency Seattle by taxi, ride-sharing apps, or public transportation. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own ground transportation to and from the airport and throughout the conference.

Childcare
If you plan to use free childcare at the conference, please indicate your interest during registration or contact planner@myotonic.org by Friday, November 20th, 2026.
Registration Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances can change. MDF contracts for conference presenters, travel, and hotel services nine to twelve months in advance and adjusts those contracts based on registration numbers. We are therefore unable to process registration cancellations made after Monday, March 29, 2027.
Hotel room cancellations must be made directly with the hotel. To avoid being charged one night’s room rate and tax, you must cancel before 11:59 pm PT at least one day before arrival.
