Upcoming Virtual Support group for German-speaking Countries in Europe

The new support group of Myotonic addresses German speaking individuals in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. This group was formed to provide space for people with Myotonic Dystrophy and their loved ones to share their experiences, stories and support each other. Due to the lack of support groups for MD in these countries, Myotonic decided to create this group to give this community the ability to connect by phone, regardless of the distance between them.

Are you French native? Participating in a support group in French-speaking Switzerland could interest you. This is a great opportunity to meet other people affected by the same disease, to create a connection, share experiences, "tips", spend a friendly moment, feel less alone.

Telefonische Selbsthilfegruppe für die deutschsprachigen Länder in Europa
Die neue virtuelle Selbsthilfegruppe Myotonic richtet sich an deutschsprachige Betroffene und Angehörige in Österreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz. Diese Gruppe wurde gegründet, um diesem Zielpublikum einen Raum zu geben, in dem sie ihre Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse austauschen und sich gegenseitig unterstützen können. Aufgrund der noch geringen Anzahl physischer Selbsthilfegruppen/Gesprächskreise in diesen Ländern hat sich die Myotonic entschlossen, diese Gruppe zu gründen, um der Gemeinschaft die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich unabhängig von der Entfernung zwischen ihnen per Telefon zu treffen.

Groupe d'entraide téléphonique pour les pays de langue allemande en Europe
Le nouveau groupe d’entraide par téléphone de Myotonic'adresse aux germanophones d'Autriche, d'Allemagne et de Suisse. Ce groupe a été formé dans le but de fournir un espace aux personnes atteintes de la dystrophie myotonique et leurs proches pour partager leurs expériences, leurs témoignages et se soutenir mutuellement. En raison du manque de groupes de soutien pour la DM dans ces pays, Myotonic a décidé de créer ce groupe afin de donner à cette communauté la possibilité de se connecter par téléphone, quelle que soit la distance qui les sépare.
Si vous êtes intéressé d’y participer nous vous proposons de vous adresser à Erich Maurer pour vous inscrire. La première réunion virtuelle prendra lieu le 8 janvier 2019 à 19 :00h
Vous êtes francophone? Participer à un groupe d’entraide en Suisse Romande pourrait vous intéresser. Il s’agit d’une belle occasion de rencontrer d’autres personnes concernées par la même maladie, de créer du lien, partager des expériences, des « tuyaux », passer un moment convivial, se sentir moins seul.
