MDF is conducting a survey to understand the myotonic dystrophy (DM) community's perspectives on hypothetical new therapies.
The DM COMPASS: Risk / Benefit Study by the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation is designed to gather input that may inform future advocacy efforts related to the development of new therapies and treatments, especially in light of promising advancements in DM research.
Individuals who complete the survey will have the opportunity to enter a random drawing for one of three $750 Visa gift cards.

Shape the Future of Potential DM treatments!
This survey lets you share your thoughts on potential myotonic dystrophy therapies, including which risks you would or would not accept, and which benefits matter most to you. Your input will help guide companies and regulators to shape treatments that reflect the DM community’s priorities.
Please Note: The risks included in this survey represent possible risks of hypothetical therapies. These risks are potential and may or may not occur with any given hypothetical treatment.
- Who can participate? Individuals living with DM1 or DM2 living in the US and caregivers for individuals with DM1 or DM2.
- Why take the survey? Your responses will help inform advocacy efforts to advance the development of new therapies.
- How long will it take? This survey takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete.
